In this course, we will focus on how to work from a photo, color mixing, brush techniques, layering, and using the materials.
Topics Covered:
how to find the perfect subject to paint
techniques for better composition
editing tips
how to manage the amount of time it takes to paint your piece
how to apply "the finishing touches"
Students will receive positive feedback and lots of 1-on-1 guidance from the instructor. You'll walk away with confidence and a greater understanding of the watercolor medium—plus, a beautiful painting to hang at home.

This is a studio class and students will be using their supplies on the first week.
Fabriano Artistico Enhanced Watercolor Block in 140lb white cold press paper, 9x12 size (glued on all 4 edges so you don't have to stretch the paper)
Winsor & Newton Cotman 16 half pan complete pocket set (comes with 6 mixing palette areas, mini brush, and a kneaded eraser)
Princeton Velvetouch 3950 Set of 4 Brushes (comes with 4 round, 8 long round, 3/8" angled shader, 3/4" wash)
HB graphite pencil or a No.2 pencil
rags or Blue Shop Towels
